Free private DNS for Resellers

Modified on Mon, 29 Nov 2021 at 05:24 PM

If you have Private Reseller account, you can use our private DNS (not linked to NYhost.net) or request own DNS like (associated with your domain):

ns1.yourdomain.here

ns2.yourdomain.here

ns3.yourdomain.here

OR

dns1.yourdomain.here

dns2.yourdomain.here

dns3.yourdomain.here

You can register only 3 private DNS. Please request 3 dedicated IPs for private DNS. Once you receive them, login to domain registrar (where you registered your domain name) then register "host record" for each dedicated IP.

In GoDaddy, for example, you can register host records like so:

1. Login to GoDaddy then navigate "My Account > My Products > Select domain name > Manage DNS".

2. Under "Advanced Features" select "Host names > Add".

3. Add hostname (for example, "ns1") then IP address you received from us on the right.

4. Click "Save".

You must register all 3 DNS. Please repeat steps above for each DNS.

DNS registration and propagation takes 24-48 hours.

Please note: DNS server IPs change once per 2-4 years. You must keep an eye on any changes to avoid downtime. If IP changed, you must update it at domain registrar ASAP. We post DNS IP changes within WHM (your main control panel) > News section. We cannot post private DNS IPs here.
If you cannot keep your own DNS IPs updated every 2-4 years, please use our private DNS. Those DNS rarely change.

Additional DNS for Global Resellers

NYhost.net provides additional WHM account in "Global Reseller" plan. That means you can setup standalone account in German data center with two free DNS servers.

Please note: you cannot mix EU and US DNS. Networks are standalone for extra redunancy. If network in US data center went down, all websites in EU data center will be up and running.
