Dear NYhosters,

Our private name servers (ns1, ns2 and ns3) have changed. If use own private DNS, your service won't be affected. If you use public nyhost.net DNS, service isn't affected.

Please login to WHM > News section then check correct DNS. If you need to update our private DNS, please visit domain registrar control panel. We cannot publish private DNS.

FAQ:

Q: I am using nyhost DNS (ns1, ns2, ns3 and ns4). Am I affected?

A: No, DNS will remain the same.

Q: I registered my own private DNS. Am I affected?

A: No, IPs didn't change but it's good idea to verify IPs within WHM > News.

Q: Did you send email notifications about this change?

A: We sent email notifications to all resellers between June 4th and June 5th, 2026.

Q: I am using your private DNS. Where can I replace them?

A: At domain registrar (where you registered domain name).

Q: I cannot login to WHM, it produces SSL error or "cannot connect" / "site not found".

A: First of all, you can always login to WHM by typing /whm after any active domain name. Same thing with cPanel, simply type /cpanel . There is no need to know hostname or server name. However, if you accessed server directly, please replace ".com" extension with ".net".

Q: My domain name is down and I need assistance right now!

A: Please drop a ticket to Help Desk: https://help.nyhost.net/support/tickets/new You may also email: help@nyhost.net at any time. We provide 24/7 assistance.

Q: I have over 100 domain names and most of them are now down. It's a mess!

A: First of all, we do apologize for the inconvenience. DNS emergencies rarely occur: we changed our private DNS in 2007, almost 20 years ago...

Q: Can I use external DNS like AWS (paid) or CloudFlare (free)?

A: Yes, but you have to synchronize all records manually during setup and also monitor for any updates. We can change server IP, move account to different server etc.

Q: How to protect my domain name from such DNS outage in the future?

A: Unfortunately, there is no 100% protection. DNS do change regardless of service level, hosting plan etc. For example, you can use paid AWS DNS or CloudFlare, but there is no guarantee that they operate unchanged for the next 10-20 years. DNS service can be discontinued.
