Earlier today we received emergency notification from cPanel: PHP has been compromised GLOBALLY. You can find news articles on the internet. Situation is VERY serious and requires IMMEDIATE response.
1. We already applied cPanel patches per this notification: https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/44397389677335-Critical-PHP-Security-Release-CVE-2026-109618-and-CVE-2026-109619
All servers have been patched up, however, all versions below ea-74 are no longer available. Those are available via alt-php (CloudLinux), so we're moving websites with DEPRECATED versions of PHP to either ea-74 or alt-xx.
2. As a result, your website may be down or display 500 internal server error. That means your scripts are outdated and no longer compatible with installed PHP.
Please remember: current version of supported PHP 8.2+. Anything below 8.2 is obsolete and should not be used in the first place. You need to upgrade PHP scripts, theme and plugins immediately and keep doing so (once per week). Move in parallel to PHP, once they release PHP 8.5, get it.
