Dear Friends,

We have recently updated our Terms of Service. Under "2c" and "2d" we described prohibited email activity. In this article, we'll answer frequently asked questions about new email policy. If you have any questions or need any assistance with email, please contact us at any time!

NYHOST.NET Email Policy: FAQ

I have small mailing list with less than 100 subscribers. All subscribers are legit (subscribed on our website) and our mailings are fully compliant with CAN-SPAM laws. Can I continue sending newsletters?

Sorry, we do not allow any kind of bulk. IP reputation is dynamic and 2-3 complaints may degrade IP reputation. More of this, SMTP traffic must be authenticated. Please outsource your mailing list to third party ISP who specializes on bulk delivery and also handles abuse reports.

Can I send newsletter individually with SMTP authentication?

In this case, you'll send similar SMTP authenticated message to many recipients. Destination server most likely degrade IP reputation because our email IPs cannot deliver BULK (not registered to deliver BULK). Please outsource mailing list or newsletter to third party ISP.

Your Terms are so strict! I've never seen anything like this with other hosting providers!

Our email servers are being shared across many users. Our goal is to deliver all email messages to INBOX, not into JUNK/SPAM folders. We deliver messages to Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail and also to .EDU and .GOV domains. That's why we monitor MX IPs, DMARC and abuse reports 24/7/365.

My email forwarder "info@mydomainhere" to Hotmail stopped working.

Sorry, we do not allow email forwarding to: Microsoft (Hotmail, Outlook, Live, MSN etc), AOL, MAC (Apple), Yahoo, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Optimum, Google Mail / Gmail, Yandex etc. Most forwarded email will relay spam, spoofing emails and messages with malware. This activity will degrade our IP reputation and then lead to total IP block/blacklisting. You may forward email to local email box (our server).

I received a message that my contact form is insecure. What the... I used it since 2008!!

Please update "contact us" script and then secure it with Google ReCaptcha. Please don't forget to disable "send a message to myself" in contact form. If you use any other PHP script that regularly send out emails, please make sure to protect it with Google ReCaptcha. Please do not use Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail etc in form "destination". Email must be local. Outdated PHP scripts without spam protection will be disabled without prior warning.

My email bounced back immediately!

We process authenticated SMTP emails only. Please check email headers (RFC-822) then "deliverability" report inside cPanel. Most likely, your domain doesn't have valid SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. If you need any assistance with email configuration, please do let us know.

Can I set cron notifications to external email like Gmail?

Sorry, we do not allow cron notifications (considered as "mass mailings"). You can use local email only.

I don't see "catch-all" or "default address" inside cPanel.

Sorry, this feature is no longer supported.

If you have any questions about email policy and deliverability, please contact us at any time (please select "Email Issue" in Type of Request).
